Real Malaysian hotel deployment

Tropical Villa Kuantan: connected self check-in after hours.

One Classic Kiosk M150 connects identity verification, payments, deposits, keycards and hotel systems for this 20-room Kuantan property—so routine late arrivals no longer depend on a team member waiting through the night.

Start with operations

More than placing a kiosk: connecting the arrival journey.

The deployment was shaped around actual late-arrival, international-guest, payment and keycard needs, then connected to the systems required for one guest journey.

01 / CONTEXT

Late arrivals needed a consistent path

Routine late check-ins should not depend on one person knowing every front-desk system or remaining on site throughout the night.

02 / DESIGN

Critical steps brought into one M150

The flow covers reservation lookup, NRIC or passport scanning, facial verification, payments, deposits, receipts, and keycard issuance and return.

03 / RESULT

Guests can pay and collect a keycard

The kiosk handles standard steps while the team stays focused on exceptions and guests who genuinely need personal assistance.

Deployment evidence

The equipment shown is the equipment in operation.

These photographs were taken at Tropical Villa Kuantan and retain the entrance, payment terminal and installation setting—evidence of a real deployment rather than a product rendering.

Guest journey

From reservation lookup to keycard, every step stays clear.

Chinese, English and Malay interfaces help local and international guests complete the same standard check-in or checkout journey.

  1. 01
Find the reservation and select a language

Identify the stay through the STAAH booking and OTA flow.

  2. 02
    Verify identification and identity

Scan an NRIC or passport and complete facial verification within the hotel workflow.

  3. 03
    Complete charges and deposit

Use the Gkash terminal for credit card, debit card, QR payments and bank-card deposits.

  4. 04
Issue the keycard and update systems

Connect to the HUNE door-lock and keycard system, then synchronize the result with MythAsia PMS.

Connected systems

Four system roles, one guest journey.

PMS

MythAsia PMS

Receives and synchronizes reservation, registration and completed-arrival information.

LOCK / KEYCARD

HUNE

Supports the keycard encoding, issuance and return workflow.

PAYMENT

Gkash

Handles bank-card and QR payments together with deposit collection.

BOOKING / OTA

STAAH

Connects booking and OTA sources so the guest can find the correct stay.

Confirmed operational change

Routine late arrivals no longer require an overnight wait.

Guests can complete routine registration, pay and collect a keycard independently, reducing the need to maintain and train a dedicated overnight front-desk role. The team remains available when assistance or an exception is required.
